Confederation of Indian industry organizes real estate conclave


PUNE: Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) is organising the CII Real Estate Conclave 2012 under the chairmanship of Anuj Puri, chairman and country head, Jones Lang LaSalleon June 22 in Mumbai, said a statement issued by the Pune chapter of CII. The conclave, which aims to provide insights into the year ahead for the real estate industry, will be addressed by Sachin Ahir, minister of state for housing.

The conclave would cover a wide range of topics of interest to stakeholders in the industry, including: 'Indian Real Estate Boosters - Unlocking the logjams in order to fast track real estate development in India', 'The Star Destinations of the Future - Fast emerging Tier 2 Cities in the times to come', 'Aligning Real Estate Development Pipeline with Portfolio Management Strategies of Corporate Occupiers', 'The Present and Future of Investable Asset classes in Indian Real Estate', 'Shopping for Quality Supply - The Focus Point for Retail', and 'Reassessing Residential - Safeguarding Returns from Luxury, Mid-Segment or Affordable', among others.

Apart from Ahir, the conclave will also be addressed by Firdose Vandrevala, chairman, CII National Committee on Real Estate and Housing. The conclave will also witness the release of CII- JLL report, 'Indian Realty -Through the Looking Glass'. This report will cover an overview of the trends in office, retail and residential realty.

In addition, the conclave would also be addressed by prominent persons from the real estate industry including Abhisheck Lodha, managing director, Lodha Group, Sandeep Runwal, director, Runwal Group, Dharmesh Jain, chairman and managing director, Nirmal Group of Companies, and Thomas Varghese, chief executive officer - Textile Business, Aditya Birla Group, amongst many others.
