Real estate prices set to go up in Pune

Property buyers in Pradhikaran prepare to shell out more for your dream home or office. Properties in Pradhikaran are all set to get costlier, following the Pimpri Chinchwad New Town Development Authority (PCNTDA)’s decision to increase its transfer fees and plot selling rates by 10 to 30%.

The decision was taken at the monthly meeting of the authority in Nigdi on Tuesday under PCNTDA president Prabhakar Deshmukh. Chief executive officer Yogesh Mhase and other officials were present at the meeting.

For residential areas, the selling rates would range from Rs3,660 to Rs6,120 per square metre and for developed sectors from Rs6,230 to Rs14,490. For 50-square metre plots for residential use, the transfer fees will be Rs10,070 and for larger plots, it will Rs20,140. For commercial properties, the authority doubled the hike.

Mhase told DNA, “The authority has decided upon the hike as per the guidelines of the state government ready reckoner rates in its jurisdictions. The hike depends on the locations and sectors.”

The authority also gave its nod for finalising the project management consultants for its housing projects to come up in sectors 30 and 31 at Walhekarwadi area,
Pradhikaran Haat, hawkers’ zone at sector 24 and working women’s hostels.
